My Role

As the UI/UX Designer on MemoTrip, I worked across research, concept development, and visual design.

My responsibilities included user research, competitive analysis, persona creation, user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity interface design. I led the design of the dashboard, notifications experience, and route builder interactions, and contributed to the design system and branding assets used for presentation and promotion.

The Problem

Travelers waste hours piecing together "authentic" itineraries from generic blog posts and scattered reviews. Current apps either offer rigid tourist traps or overwhelming lists without context, leaving users stressed rather than excited.

Key Decisions

Strategizing for a better travel experience.

01. Prioritizing "Vibe"

Decision: Replaced 5-star ratings with "Vibe Tags" (e.g., 'Quiet & Cozy').

Why: Travelers choose spots based on mood, not just objective quality.

02. "Live Guide"

Decision: Context-aware home screen based on time/location.

Why: Travelers need immediate, relevant suggestions without digging.

03. Route Builder

Decision: Routes as "loose collections" rather than strict timelines.

Why: Rigid schedules cause anxiety; flexibility allows for spontaneity.
